Look Who just turned 2!!

Alison turned 2 yesterday. We had a great day. We took the girls to Build a Bear last night and they both picked out Moose to make. Emily's Moose got a soccer outfit complete soccer shoes and Alison settled for some cute jeans and stylin pink shirt, with some pretty sweet sparkling pink flip flops to make the outfit. They are growing up so fast its crazy. I love them so much. I am glad though that our "Birthday Month" is over.

Hair Cut!! Motorcycle!! SPOKANE!!

So last week I decided that I wanted to get me hair cut and boy was I in for it. I went in with one thing in mind and came out with something totally different. I am not really sure what happened, maybe I didn't explain things very well, I don't know. Needless to say, I cried for an hour and I still can't believe how short it is in the back. I have been taking lots of vitamin D (someone told me that was good for hair growth) Matt Loves it and he thinks that it is really cute. I am getting more used to it, but it is still a shock whenever I see my reflection.

Matt Cut his hair too. He did this one all by himself. He does this at least once a year so I shouldn't be shocked anymore but it still gets me for the first few days. If you ask me I think that he missed a really big spot. HIS FACE!!
This is Matt's new form of transportation. A guy that he works with gave him a REALLY good deal on it. He finally got his motorcycle. It has been nice for me too so that I actually have a car during the day and I can take the girls placed and get things done that I need to.
On to SPOKANE!! I am so excited that I get to take me girls on a little trip. We are flying to Spokane on May 31st and staying until June 27th. I can't wait to see all me friends and family. We moved up here a year ago and I haven't seen any of them (except Julie) sense then. I will me Matt a ton and I am sure the girls will miss their Daddy but we will be sure to call him everyday. Julie, Chuck, Cory and Chris are all flying with us too. Brittany(my niece) is graduating so they are making a trip. It will be fun to all be together on the plain. I can't wait to see you all. 9 days and counting!!

Swimming in Alaska, May 1st!!!

(This is the 4th post of pictures so start at the other end to get them in order)
Yes it's true we went swimming May 1st in Alaska. We had a beautiful weekend and the temperatures were in the high 60's low 70's. No I know that doesn't sound super HOT but the heat up here is different. I think that when your body gets used to it being below zero for so long that when it warms up and hits 70 it is harder to adjust. We were sweating getting sun burned so we decided to get out the pool. The girls had a great time. The water was a combination of hose water (WAY COLD) and some hot water from the tap but it was still a little cold. Alison kept saying "too bite (bright) mommy, too bite"
Emily was so brave and she decided that she was going to go "fimming" (swimming) on her tummy.
Poor unsuspecting Alison. Luckily Em wasn't tall enough to actually get the water on her head just down her back.

Here is something funny, the lake that you can sort of see through the trees in the back still had Ice on it, and the mountains still had snow.
But we had a good time and it was nice to get cooled down.

Even More Pictures!

This is what I have been making for the Young Women for their birthdays. They have been really fun and the girls have really liked then. I also did one with saltwater taffy instead of tootsie rolls and pastel M&m's and it truned out really cute as well. Daddy and the girls who are sporting their new PJ's. The name tag and the toy are from the doctor set they had just gotten done making Daddy "all better".
Here is my Emily again. She love to have her picture taken.
So here are the Easter Dresses that I made this year. This picture was taken Easter Morning and there was so much going on that they are not to happy to stand still for a picture.

More Pictures!

This is my silly Emily playing with some cardboard inserts from something. She was telling me that it was her "helmet" so she could ride her bike, it was a long winter.

Crazy Hair Day!
This is what happens whenn Daddy lets Mommy get a little extra sleep on a Saturday morning.
Complete with Gel and Hairspray and LOTS of it!
Notice that they are wearing their Carhart Overalls. These are mostly worn when we work out in the yard or whenever Daddy gets them dressed.
Look at them all matching!

FINALLY!!!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!
My camera worked and I was able to get my pictures on the comp. so here a "few from the last couple months.
Ididarod 2009

Here a the girls sitting in the sled right next to the track, and having having a great time.

These are just a few that I snapped before church one sunday, there hair was fixed cute and they were all ready. Of course the hair did not last too much longer after I took the picture. Thanks for standing still for at least 2 seconds girls. :-)
More to come.

OVER DUE!!

I know, I know that I am way over due for a post and here is my little sob sorry as to why I haven't updated in awhile.
I really wanted to post all these fun pictures that I have taken in the last month or so but for some reason I can't get then off my camera so I kind of went on "poor me, if I can't post pictures I won't post at all mode". But here is a little update from the last month.
Ididarod!!
We got to got watch the ceremonial start of the Ididarod and we really enjoyed it. They start down town Anchorage on Saturday and make a trip through town, then the really race starts the next day. We were able to find a great spot right on the trail. The girls had a great time seeing the dogs run right in front of them. They were yelling the whole time "keep it up" "Go Go Go" "Good luck"and "Be safe". Because they are not racing on during this time they are going pretty slow, they will wave and some even through us some dog foot booties. We had a great time.
Birthday!!
For my birthday Matt surprised me and took me to a really nice restaurant down town Anchorage. When he made reservations he had told then that it was my birthday so they had confetti on the table and a little card there for me. Dinner was so good. It also just happen to be opening night for Broadway ANNIE right across the street. He was not planning on taking me there at first but then we decided to try and see if we could still get in. Well it turns out that the difference in price from the nose bleed seats and 5 rows back center stage was only $12.00. So we had great seats and the performance was so good. The girls did great for Grandma and Grandpa Netzley and Matt and I enjoyed a date night out.
Sister Visit!!
My sister Julie flew up to visit me for a few days. She lives about 4 hours from here but with gas prices and winter roads we never get to see each other. We had a great shopping all the craft stores, thrift stores, Wal-marts (she doesn't have Wal-mart down there). She taught me how to crochet and I taught her how to knit. Of course she picked up the knitting super fast and of course I can't remember a thing about crocheting. We had great time just hanging out together.
Easter!!
Well the week before Easter I was busy busy sewing like mad. I decided to stick with me tradition and make the girls Easter dresses. It was a pretty intense dress. I was proud of me self this year though, if you remember from last year my mom walked me though every step over the phone. But this year I didn't have to call her as much. I did call her a ton but not AS MUCH! Their dresses turned out pretty cute, I have picture so maybe some day I will be able to post it. I also decided that sense I didn't have a lot of money to buy things for their Easter baskets that I would make them some things. They love Dora the Explorer so I used Dora fabric that my sister and my sister-in-law bought for me and I made them each a pillow case and an apron. We had a busy crazy Easter weekend. Matt's sister Roben and her family were here and we had fun doing the usual, dying eggs, hiding and finding eggs and eating way too much candy.
Potty Training!!
We are potty training 1 1/2 children right now. I say 1/2 because Alison has to do everything that Emily dose including going potty. Most of the time she just sits then stands up and says "I done" Emily is doing ok but she still has a long way to go. I tell you what potty training is way harder for the trainer then the trainee I believe. It is so hard not to get frustrated. But we have come a long way in the last few weeks so we'll see how this next few weeks go.
Well I am out of time for today. Again sorry for no pictures but hopefully I will get then soon.

Photo tag!

Brandi tagged me so I thought I would just try it, But sense I don't have me computor and I am using Matt's parents I thought I might get a interesting photo but as it turns out it was actually of Matt. So here goes.

6th photo tag rules:
Go to the pictures folder on your computer
Choose the 6th file
Choose your 6th picture
Blog about it
Tag 6 more people!

This was summer of 2000 and I believe he was moving from Alaska to Utah but I am not exactly sure. He car sure was packed. And he looks so young. :-) I can't tag anyone because I think that everyone that reads my blog has probably already done this but if you haven't and you want to then go ahead.

Thing that will be coming!

I know I am due for a post but I only had time to read all your updates and change my back round today so, stay tuned for updates on:
